The Global Trauma Solutions
The GTS model enhances the current Hospital managed system with a focused Surgeon led system, and as such replaces a process driven delivery of care system with a personnel-driven one. The current delivery system is process oriented and as such is slow moving, costly, and poorly adaptable to the needs of both the client hospital and the provider.
A system that is personnel oriented (as witnessed with our country’s military medics) is by design streamlined, adaptable, and with a level of transparency and accountability that is necessary in a field that evolves at such a break-neck pace.
Our model is surgeon led, with an emphasis on the patient and provider, which allows for greater market disruption. Point of care and provider disruptions further drives volumes up and cost down. By having a dedicated trauma surgeon-led group able to control the points of care for fracture delivery in a more sophisticated fashion, who-goes-where-and-when is compartmentalized and streamlined. The surgeons are also highly aligned stakeholders in this process at our client-facilities. This level of ownership is a key differentiator. Orthopedic Surgeons will manage their own career tracks, patient flow-throughput, the entire trauma service line (implantable devices and technology), and have a tangible stake in the future of their trauma centers.
The Hospitals will be unburdened from the unwelcome task of managing Orthopaedic components of their trauma centers themselves, instead outsourcing that to GTS.
This model brings together the three groups that it takes to provide comprehensive and cost effective Orthopaedic care: The Hospitals, the Surgeons, and the professional Management/Office staff. Currently these three groups all work in their own walled off worlds, with significant bureaucratic red tape between them causing inefficiencies, duplications of effort, and a reduction in the over all quality of care. Combining them not only increases the value proposition for all three, but also improves the level of care for patients.
